Does Coding Matters?
Coding, omg! The first fear of a student when he joins engineering.He/She have to face at least C and Java programming for the first two semesters. And the most intelligent human species called "Engineers" do "Rattaa" before the exam night. And yes obviously, except CSE & IT students , it ?who gonna love this bullshit thing.
If you think to develop a game or application you need to take cse ( Computer science Engineering) in you b.tech, then my friend you are absolutely thinking wrong.
So there is a Question, Does Coding Matters?
Many of us realize the importance of coding only before the placement session or during the placement session. Cause everyone needed IT job right after the 3rd year is over Isn't it?
What is coding? Whether they should learn to code? Is coding only for computer science engineers?
Well, you may not give importance to coding but can you imagine your life without mobile phones, laptops, the internet, satellites, GPS, social networking sites, robots etc. And no-one can deny the fact that Instagram, Facebook or YouTube which interest teenagers the most nowadays – are some of the best results of programming.
Another fact is, We studied social sciences, Biology, finance and many more subjects during our school days. But we are not pursuing our degree in all that field right?
Somehow, all the knowledge we gathered are helping us today to survive in the world. Exactly, to live in future you have to learn about the programming and computer system, the cause of greatest changes to the world of advanced technology.
Have you ever wish to build your own game?
If you think to develop a game or application you need to take cse ( Computer science Engineering) in you b.tech, then my friend you are absolutely thinking wrong.
Pichai & Nadela |
Many people are experts in Java, python or other programming languages and do not have an actual degree. And you should also check Alma mater of Satya Nadella(electrical engineer) and Sundar Pichai(Metallurgical Engineer),(they may not be best coders but they are handling world’s largest tech-companies).
Coding is for everyone.
So bro, " in the end it doesn't even matter " have you heard that song from Linkin Park? Yes, In the final year, you are going to face IT companies and you will seek that job to get placed. So when you are thinking to join IT Industry then why to ignore the backbone of IT industry?
From a recruitment point of view, it’s good if you know how to program using python and java at the least along with C/C++. Learning how to program in these languages might also help you out in say image and video processing where the open source software which most students use to support these languages.
Programming is required in simulator software used in electrical engineering like MATLAB, SCADA,PLC etc.
Arduino, BeagleBone,Raspberry Pi, Nanode, etc. – every engineer has worked with at least one of these. So, Mechanical and electronics engineers are also not unfamiliar to coding. It may not be a necessity but it can be a royal icing on the cake of your job.
Do what you love to do, don’t restrict yourself with your branch. Enhance your knowledge and outshine the world.
